In this system the quantity of waste generated and corresponding charges will be determined based on the weight established for the content of the collection receptacle. Bin identification is the means to relate the measured weight to the respective waste generator(s).

For the technical implementation bin identification technologies (as described for the identification system) are complemented by a weighing device integrated into the lifter system at the collection vehicle.
